MA Food System Forum 2023

This one-day event will be held on Friday, Dec. 8 at Holy Cross in Worcester. We look forward to strengthening the statewide food community, discussing important food topics, and developing skills so we can all advocate for a stronger, more equitable MA food system. Registration details to follow.

Intertribal Agriculture Council Annual Meeting

This annual conference continues to redefine and rebuild sovereign Tribal food systems. The organization’s founding members convened the first IAC conference in 1987, with 87 Tribal Nations attending as charter members. IAC’s organizational structure supports a comprehensive approach to removing systemic inequities and barriers by focusing on advocating for the policy priorities identified by our members, advising the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) on programmatic implementation while supporting Tribes and Tribal producers in their agriculture endeavors. 

Keep ’em Coming Back: Five Strategies for Retaining Loyal Customers

This free interactive online workshop hosted by Southeastern Massachusetts Agricultural Partnership (SEMAP) will demonstrate 5 strategies for boosting customer loyalty and driving repeat sales, including providing stellar customer service, implementing  loyalty programs, increasing sales per customer, clarifying your brand, and creating compelling communications. You’ll see examples of what successful farmers are doing to keep loyal customers and share stories about what’s working for your farm. You’ll leave with new ideas for cultivating a customer base that keeps coming back for more. The presenter, Myrna Greenfield, is a farm and food marketing consultant at Good Egg Marketing and a frequent speaker at conferences and events. She’s the author of the book, Marketing Your Farm: A practical guide to attracting loyal customers and increasing sales.
